Be honest - Who's addicted?

We subscribe to Netflix so we watch a couple of movies a week. Our list on Netflix is soooo long that by the time we get the next movie we have no recollection of what it is or when we added it. Last week we got the movie "Twilight". I had vaguely heard about this series but not that much really as I don't have teenage daughters!! :)

I was thinking that this could be ok or that it could really suck. This movie followed upon the heels of the last movie we "watched" called Eight Below or something like that. It seems I can never make it through those darn Disney movies without crying. That movie was no exception. I made it about halfway through and then I had to go find something else to do. So, I was hoping that Twilight was going to be at least a better experience than that!

So, we watch the movie, we are totally engrossed, it's great, we go put the next movie on our Netflix list (at the top) and I immediately get the first book in the series (thank you Kindle! Best present EVER from my husband!) and then I put the next 3 books on my wish list.

By now, we have watched the second movie. Again, we are totally engrossed and don't even notice that the movie is over 2 hours long. I finished the first book in about 2 days and am now about halfway through the second book. The books are always better than the movies!!

So, hi - my name is Knit Witch and I'm officially addicted to Twilight. Anyone else?

You are not alone in your new addiction to the Twilight series. I fell in love with the series about four years ago. Enjoy the series!

I was addicted... I read all the books before the movie. I saw the first movie and it was ok... I think that you are doing things in the right order. I think the movies are better when you do not know what is going to happen.

I really disliked book 2... so I assume that the movie is way better.

Hi.. My name is terry and I am a twili-holic.

Great series, Enjoy!

Are you "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob"?

Oh by the way - I love my yarn bowl. Does your kilted hubby make bowls with 2 notches?

Yeah, a friend of mine got me into the books. I read the first three so far. I also saw Twilight and then watched New Moon on an overseas flight. I am now looking forward to the Eclipse movie to come out in June (and yes, am slightly embarassed to say I'll probably try to see it in the theatre)...

lol, see now you and carpentry geek need to come out our way to visit. Forks is just a stone's throw from home! I admit to really enjoying the books. Movie two was better than the first, maybe i just was getting over the fact that the characters didn't look the same as my mental image from reading. But i do have to say i get a little miffed at the whining that sometimes seems to drag on with the main character. Overall, yes i enjoy them but not an addict. (do i enjoy the "dark side" ? Hell yes! grin)

Haven't tried them yet, but oddly was just thinking about it yesterday...

I wouldn't call myself *addicted* per se, but I do enjoy the books. I personally HATED the second book, but the movie blew the doors off- they managed to make it way less-whiny than it could have been. I'm looking forward to the third movie most, though- I think it will be the best. You're making me want to go re-read the books, and it's messing up my reading queue! ;)

Oh, and I forgot to say... the soundtracks to both movies are absolutely amazing, too! They are my go-to yarn-dyeing music. :)

Yes I am addicted too. After hearing about the Twilight series through the Harry Potter fandom, I decided to read them. So I read the whole series in a week and then got to see Twilight when it came out. I have watched it over 30 times now. I haven't seen the second one that much yet, but I'm working towards it!
