Wow!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You guys are seriously awesome. In 2 days we have turned our $50 donation into $360!! It is amazing how fast all those $5 and $10 donations add up so, every little bit helps. Thank you all SO MUCH for lending your hard earned money to this cause. I really think this is a worthwhile venture for us to embark on and I really appreciate you all taking the ride with us.

I can't believe it is already Friday! Next month is vacation for us - woo hooo!!! We'll be heading to Key West for some R&R and I am really looking forward to it. This is our first "real" vacation in like 3 years because of all the moving plans and such. We are really looking forward to it. But, you know what that means??? Our vacation means special deals at Knit Witch next month!!! Since I realize people will be waiting around on shipping while we are absent we have decided to put up a few perks for you for September. Watch the blog and the Ravelry group HERE where we will make announcements about what we are doing. The annoucements will be out next week.

On Wednesday we headed to Atlanta for a few errands and to see my mom for dinner. I also did a little teaching with the new incoming nursing class at Emory. That was really a lot of fun! It was good to be back and be involved with the students. They were so excited and overwhelmed just like I was during my orientation several years ago. Mr. Man managed to wrap up the errands and got a few pictures of one of the teaching sessions. Here I am looking all professional and stuff in a lab coat. Yes, I had to dig one up for the session. Yes, I had to find some decent pants and iron them. Yes, I actually wore a bra all day. Yes, I actually put on make-up. It was just like the good 'ol days of having a real "out of the house" job.

So, I have been toying with the idea of entering an online PhD program in nursing (don't worry dad, I won't be calling you about this!). Am I completely nuts??? The thing is though - if I do it now I can get it completely paid for so I feel like I am completely wasting an opportunity if I don't do it. I'll be thinking about this during the weekend. If I do this and I graduate though you will all have to call me Dr. Knit Witch - haha!! :)

Have a great weekend everyone and thank you all again for your generosity with helping those less fortunate than ourselves.

You'll never regret being paid to get a degree, but passing up one such opportunity, possibly...
