February Lady

The February Lady has been making fairly steady progress, see?

Well, let me rephrase that. It LOOKS like it is making steady progress. Boys and girls -this is why you do not knit in the dark. For some reason blogger does not want to load my picture at the correct orientation but look on the left side of the photo.

See what I did there? At some point I started knitting the wrong side rows on the right side and vice versa. Of course, I didn't even realize I had done this until a full 3-4 repeats later. I was being so careful with the pattern to make sure that all of my center knit stitches were lining up properly. I just wasn't looking at the big picture. GRRRRRRRR!!!! So, I will be frogging an inch or so in order to fix the problem. I bet you can't guess what I will be doing later this evening!

I love the color of the yarn though and the DK weight yarn is really nice to work with. Perfect for this pattern I think. You can find this yarn HERE along with some other available colors. This particular color is Aphrodite.

So far, this has been a really easy knit (despite my attempts to make it more difficult). This would be a great first cardigan project for someone. I found my copy of the pattern HERE.

OK - that's it. Happy Hump Day!!

It's looking really good! That's a very pretty color. Too bad about knitting so much reversed! Argh. I never knit in the dark. I have to be able to see my knitting.

Have a good day!

Seems hilarious to me that we have both started this sweater in similarly colored yarn. Are you planning to wear yours to SAFF? I am.

I'm not allowed to go to SAFF unless I finish mine.

It's really coming out beautiful. It'll be worth the extra time needed to fix the wee little boo-boo.

It's still a great color! I might be the only person to have not knit this one yet.

I hope to cast on for this sweater sometime this year. Then a friend showed me the Hey, Teach sweater on knitty.com, http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer08/PATTheyteach.html
sort of a reverse of Feb Lady. I wish I could clone myself to make everything.
