What to do on a rainy day.........

BUY FISH!! We finally went and bought some fish for our pond! We are so excited to have some fish back. Here is what 250 fish look like:

We called this place that is about 40 miles from us and were going to place a large order of about 1500 fish or so. The prices were fine and we were going to end up spending about $450 or so. But then, they wanted $120 for a delivery fee! That seems a bit high to me. $120 buys a lot of fish! So, we ditched that idea and went to the place about 5 miles down the road from us. The price per fish we a little bit higher but we will come out way ahead in the long run since we can just pick them up ourselves with no problem. All the fish we bought yesterday were about $120! So, that was our delivery fee right there. I mean, I can see about $50 for delivery buy $120 just seemed ridiculous. There is no special science to transporting fish.

Yesterday we bought 200 bream and 50 channel catfish. They seem to be loving their new home. Here they are during the release.

So is 250 fish just a start ... are you planning to go back and get even more to reach your original planned count?

A stocked fish pond is such a great idea!
