Coming Down from a Harlot High

Well, life is starting to get back to normal for the Atlanta area knitters I think. I have had fun reading everyone's blog today! Jen had a fun pic of me and the hubby on her blog and Hockey Mom has a great picture of me and my "warlock" on it! It's great to see everyone's pictures. Some people were LAME and forgot their camera.

Today, I have been working on writing knitting lessons and my eyes are sore from looking at the computer so long. So I decided to go work on some knitting. I started a hat the other night and I tried something last night that simply isn't going to work so I had to make a decision - go back and change all the knit stitches to purl stitches on the last row or just rip the whole damn thing out and find something else to do. I decided to change all my purls to knits so that is what I have been doing for the last 1/2 hour. Yeah, that really helped relax my eyes from being on the computer so long.

So, now it's just going to be a plain 'ol boring knit hat that I as of yet don't even have a purpose for. Why am I knitting it then you ask?? Well, because silly - I'm in DENIAL! Yep, I said it. I'm in denial. Folks Christmas is THREE months away and I have knit NOTHING. NOTHING! Not one single thing. I have all kinds of yarn around here but I just can't seem to find anything that is inspiring me. How completely aggravating is that???? Sooooooooooo - everyone mail me some yarn! Haha!
I have no interesting photos to post today I don't think. Oh wait, here's a picture of some roses I took today in our backyard. After all, it IS eye candy Friday, right??

And some gardenias AND a lily (not taken today though obviously)............OK people - send me some Christmas inspiration.

How's about some felted shoulder bags? Project bags? I made my hubby a felted drawstring bag to hold his chinese drawing supplies (Jen calls it his murse).

I would love to, but I don't knit for Christmas presents anymore. Except the husband, he usually gets a sweater. Hmm. How about this: http://myblog.de/petrastrickt/page/166936 I'm thinking I need some of those, myself and they're probably easy enough for a few xmas prezzies!

christmas?

LALALALACANTHEARYOULALALALALALA!!!

that being said, I think anyone I knit for this year is getting felted slippers. I stick to simple and fast for christmas knitting, especially for errr...muggles, who don't know any better ;)

Ths is your mother. Why don't you stop all that knitting and call your mother once in a while. Just kidding. I have a wonderful daughter.

Anyway back to the question at hand, how about...
- Coasters for drinks
- Drink glass holders for parties. (Do you think I drink too much?)
- Laundry bag to carry the cleaning to the laundry
- Pet bed stuffed with cotton or something
- Knitted decorattive spheres (or balls) to put in dishes on tables
- Knitted earrings - don't you DARE give me a pair of those!

I know these ideas really suck, (can mothers say suck?), but perhaps they will inspire you to greater heights. Now get to that phone!

Love Mom

Furthermore...You should DEFINITELY give some of your new Knit Witch T-shirts as gifts.

And why, pray tell, do you not have your mother's website listed in your favorites. Who raise you anyway?

And I KNOW you are not the other kind of virgin. I know better.

Well - what do you need to knit and how many things? I knitted something for everyone in my family last year - over 30 things - and I swore not again this year. I'll knit stacks of cotton coaster this year. :-) Come back to Knitch to knit with us!!! Love the flowers!
