Life on the Farm

Guess what?? If you haven't seen it already - we're in Knitty HERE and HERE!

Last weekend we also managed to go see my dad for a while. We got some cute pictures of the farm animals.

Here are some brand new baby goats hopping around and playing.

Here is the new mallard duck.

And, of course, what visit would be complete without peacocks? There are a few baby peacocks right now - I think we need a couple of peacocks around here!

Oh, and check this out. The other day Wayne and I were hiking down a hill and I decided it would be much faster if I rolled down the hill than walked. Unfortunately, I rolled right into a patch of rose bushes which were not too friendly. It was pretty funny though - I looked up and asked Wayne (who was behind me) - Did I just do a saumersault? He confirmed that I had. Very entertaining.
Then, the next day was when we were at my Dad's. We were walking through one of the pastures and a honeybee got hung up in my sandle and stung me on the toe. It hurt REALLY, REALLY bad - like someone was holding a lit lighter under my toe - but I refused to cry! This is how it looked 2 days later.
See how you can clearly see veins on one foot and not the other? My whole foot was swollen. Now, for all of my fellow nurses out there - yes, my toes were still warm and pink - yes, I still had a pedal pulse and yes, I should have put ice on it but I didn't.

All of that put together equals one sexy wife, right?

Wow, first you rolled into a thorny bush, THEN you got stung by a bee? Maybe you should...um...I don't know. Hope the foot gets better soon and put some ice on it! It'll feel better.

I'd cry and probably never go outside again!!! The goats are adorable and you should have a peacock or two---that would be awesome

Ouch! You poor thing. Tell your hubby you need extra coddling.

I love the peacocks. My uncle raised peacocks for years and I always loved traveling there to watch and listen to them. One day, in the distant future, when I get my small alpaca farm, it's going to have peacocks on it as well.

Congrats on the Knitty mentions! Good job. Not so good job on trying to kill yourself and having a bee to help!
