Orbs

What do you think about orbs? We have always known there is something special about this property that we have "borrowed". You can feel it here, especially around the water. There is a lot of Native American history connected to this and our neighbors properties. Our neighbor has been sending me photos of orbs that have shown up in pictures she has taken around her property. She emails them to me and asks me what I think. I have been telling her that what I think is that she needs to clean her camera lens.

She does not buy that. She says there is no way that these are due to light reflections or dust on the lens or any other such thing because she can shoot several pictures right in a row and some will have orbs and some will not. I told her that she should take some pictures with MY camera at her place. I have had the camera for well over a year now and NEVER had orbs show up in a picture of anything. Ever. She told me that we need to take our camera out on our property at night, shoot some pictures and see what we get. OOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKK Liz. Will do.

Now, we are believers in the spiritual world. Very much so. I believe there are many things that are energy connected that we don't and may never understand. So, we are pretty good about having an open mind. We went out and took some pictures at night on our property. Check these out. Hopefully you can make them bigger to get a good look.

Interesting, yes? These only showed up in the shots near the water. In this one, you can see a REALLY bright tiny light in the woods in the middle. I assure you, there is NOTHING back there. Nothing that would have light shining or be reflective. It's not an eye either.

We have also had a few "incidents" that have happened since we have been here. We have had things moved (I mean REALLY moved like pretty good distances), we have seen things that are there and then disappear and we have had a few instances of "helpers" literally helping to prevent a bad situation. Just as one example, our neighbor had left her car door open one day when she came up here. She was unloading stuff out of the car and then she just forgot to close it. It was open for about 3 hours when it all the sudden started pouring rain. She jumped up and thought "Oh my gosh!! I left my door open on my car!!" and walked to the front door of the house to run out and close it. As soon as she opened the door to the house to run outside, she saw the car door close with a pretty good force. No wind. She just stopped and said "Thank you!"

Anyway, we have had several instances of those types of things happening around here and we certainly welcome these entities. Personally, I think they are glad we are here. No matter what your personal feelings are these at least make for entertaining blog stories and are things that make you go hmmmmmm............

hubby and i are believers and have had some seriously interesting and otherwise unexplained incidents throughout life , but the top pic looks like they are bugs, at least to me. the light reflects off their wings, shells etc and look like orbs. always makes you wonder though. you should look into the history of your property out of curiosity! "we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we are simply borrowing it from our children"-old native saying.

Interesting.

I've had "orbs" show up in night photos because the protective covering/film/coating on the lens was "cleaned" with glass cleaner. You can't see them in daytime shots, and they don't show up in all nighttime shots. Just sometimes. Not saying that is the issue with your camera, or your neighbors.

I had a ghost at my last house. Nothing too major, until we got ready to move out. Then the TV started turning itself on and changing channels with no one in the room and the dishwasher turned on (with nothing inside) and it's wasn't one that you could've bumped a button and it come on - there were dials and locks, etc. that had to be dealt with first.

It got to be such a distraction that I finally had to say, out loud, if you want to help, please pack a box, otherwise, please stop.

It did calm down after that.

It was funny to watch the cat playing with the ghost though. She loved him.

I want to a haunted university and the oddities started for me the first week freshman year. They do make for good stories. :)

WOW! I have MANY pics of them! MANY!!! I can feel them when they are around, and I have one particular pic that has 100's of orbs, in the daytime. Wow, I never thought I would see anyone else's pics full of orbs!!

Shit, girl... there's all sorts of entities all around us all the time. In the wedding pictures of the shaman who married Steven and I (he, himself got married a little over a year ago) there were orbs all in the pictures....FROM DIFFERENT CAMERAS and their wedding was during the day. We are approaching 20012 which is, according to the ancient Mayans (and probably any remaining living Mayans), supposed to herald a major shift in the energy of the planet. No, I don't mean the apocolypse is coming or that Jesus is going to make a reappearance in 20012. I mean that there is going to be a vibrational energy shift in our planet then. So expect lots more little orbs and ghosties.

I lived in an apartment with a "feeling" everyone noticed and commented on- it was a wonderful place. I went back a few months after I had moved and that feeling was completely gone- same people commented on that too.

I see orbs in photos when there is no other explanation. I like the whole idea.

Do you watch Ghost Hunters? They really uncover some interesting stuff. They dismiss orbs because it can be dust. If it can be explained, it doesn't count, according to them. And they still have weird stuff left over with no explanation.

We have always had "something"-- ghosts elementals, etc. If shiny things keep getting lost, it's elementals. Leave out some bread, milk and a shot of liquor and they usually are appeased.

Ghosts...well, unless they are causing mischief, I let well enough alone. I mean, ghosts are people, too, eh? :)

Yaeh when I was first introduced to orbs I thought "probably dust" or some weird light refraction thing. Now I am convinced it's something else. I can't call it "other worldly" because they exist right along beside me. The night I took those pictures I assumed nothing would be in the pictures...I was WRONG. Someone suggested bugs. No bugs. Someone suggested dust. Wouldn't it be in all the pictures with the same pattern present in all pictures? I vote in favor of the spirit world. I will take some more pictures tonight and make sure the lens is clean! (I did that last time too) I love it here! By the way...we also get orbs in total daylight pics....

Film camera or digital? Orbs show up a whole lot on digital cameras and are thought to be some sort of glitch with how they interpret light and then display it. Orbs on film cameras are a bit different, especially if you're sure you didn't get flash reflected off of dust, or pollen, or some sort of stuff on your lens.

If you're interested in a neat experiment, take an SLR and put it on a really slow exposure with high speed film and no flash. (Might be an hour per shot, maybe more, maybe less, depending on natural light levels) That way you'll know for sure that you aren't getting a reflection from your flash off of any floating debris. If you've still got orbs (they'll probably be streaks because of the time of exposure) you know you've got ghostie gold!

Lots of cool stuff out there, and sometimes it is nice enough to show up on camera for us. Let us know if you get more cool pictures, I know I'll be thrilled to see them.

Blair Witch Project was the first thing to come to mind when I saw these pics.

I believe too! I have several pics that have orbs in them & they appear to have an owl's face in them!

So glad you're gonna be at SAFF this year!!! Wippee..........
