Contest Time!!!!!

Why not make a fun contest out of the guessing game right?? Here's the deal, the person that comes closest to guessing our "secret" will get a $20 credit to the Knit Witch store! That way you can use the money towards a yarn bowl or a spindle bowl or a linen bowl or some buttons or whatever you want. Sound good?!?! I think I will also extend a $10 credit for the most outragous story. That gives you TWO chances to win. If more than one person guesses both parts of the secret correctly then the first person to get the correct answer in wins. This way, even the folks that don't know that much about me can happily participate

You can use your credit whenever you like so if you don't see something on the site right now that floats your boat you can wait until we put on more stuff.

Before I go any further, I do have to exclude a couple of people, unfortunately. Turtlegirl, you are excluded and you need to keep your mouth shut even though you only know a part of the secret! And Melissa is excluded even though she does not remember that I have already told her the secret (gosh darn menopause!). Finally, Hockeymom, you are also excluded because you know too much! None of you know the whole story but it's not fair to include you so - no sharing information! All of you have already gotten previous prizes from me anyway in one form or another.

So, post or email me your best guess and/or most outragous guess. You can enter as many of each type of guess as you like and then we will choose the one that meets the secret the closest as the main winner. The bold words in red are some clues. Look for these clues in future posts. The contest will run until April 30, 2008 at which time I will be able to reveal the secret and the winner! All that anxiety about the contest will then just become water under the bridge. Here are a couple of other clues:

1. This is a TWO part secret.
2. Neither portion has ANYTHING to do with me being pregnant - EVER. Seriously.

Mr. Man will make a contest button so look for that in the days to come so that you can pass along the info in your own blog.

You are selling your house and using the money to buy a boat and you will travel the world, seeking exotic buttons. You will support yourself by having an online store where you will sell bowls make of yarn and of linen, and you will spin your own yarn for those bowls by using your spindle and spindle bowl!

Good luck.

You're moving to FL and opening a store! Cause, your boat came in? I sure hope so.

Another storefront - either online or b&m is going to be selling your awesome yarn bowls! So, you're gonna quit your day jobs and do this full time. Then you're going to use that extra money to open up a bakery where you sell awesome cookies for me to eat.

Hey, Hey, Hey! That's PERImenopausal, thank you very much. The Period fairy still comes to see me each month. She's just gotten really slack with her knack of timing and has sprinkled her magic dust over my head that causes my hormones to go out of whack on a whim.

Hmmm, are you being commissioned to sell your goods in a large store or lys chain? Or being feautured in a large well known magazine for your wares? (i mean seeing preggers is out!) lol

I think the raising alpacas and peddling your wares by the side of the road is an excellent idea. Hey, I'VE GOT IT....... you and Mr. Man are going to do some bizarre new porn movies for knitters where you actually do that thing that I told you I THOUGHT Steven said, but he didn't really say that.... remember...... you can knit while I........
You could both be happy. Mr. Man could be nekked, you could knit and reap the benefits of that particular pornographic endeaver AND you get oodles of money while doing it all!!!!

You are taking your boat and are going to open a stand on the floating market in Bangkok Thailand, and sell your bowls to the tourists who are cruising the Mekong River.

You are going to open a waterfront Chinese restaurant with a knitting theme? (Chinese because of all the bowls involved. Although it could also be a specialty soup eatery).

You are going to be on an episode of Lost as the crazy bowl lady with a real bomb hidden in a skein of yarn that helps Michael get off the boat and blow up Ben for good and tie up the rest of the Others with yarn ropes and button up their lying lips for good.
Yeah, thats the ticket.

You're saving up to buy a boat which you'll then live on and sail around the world.

So many stores are interested in your bowls and buttons that (through shrewd negotiations and barrels full of money) you'll now be shipping your wares across the water via boats!

Aurora said...

You are going on a boat to cruise on the water--while knitting with your knitting friends-- a knitting cruise ! and you will be teaching everyone how to make yarn bowls and how to spin yarn.

Tangletale said...

You are going to create a boat made of bowls and decorated with buttons. It will take 40 days and 40 nights to finish it. It will have everything you need to stay happy, healthy, and gainfully occupied for a long time. It will be filled with at least two of every item in your store, yarn bowls, spindle bowls, linen bowls and every type of button in the hopes that they will multiply and prosper. You will sail over the edge of the world and find new places to sell your wares while discovering the end of the rainbow and Jonny Depp on the other side.

You are packaging and shipping your bowls across the "pond" where they are going to be sold in England!
