Oh yes, that's pencil roving - specifically recommended by Jane. I'm going to work with my alpaca a little more before using this stuff because I am going to want to be spinning WELL by the time I play with these babies!

Ya know, since we have multiple Melissas at work, not only do I go by Jose, but I also go by Roxanne since we needed a way to distinguish between the Melissas. I'd say half the folks there refer to me as Roxanne. Even when Steven calls me at work he asks for "Melissa Roxanne" and the unit secretary refers to him as "Mr. Roxy". When Steven and I got married, I tried to have my middle name legally changed to Roxanne since I was changing my last name anyway. They said they couldn't do it then and I would have to file separate papers to do that. Bummer.
I just have to say that I am sad I don't live in ATL - not only is Olivia my VERY best friend (though we don't talk enough) I love knitch and everyone!!!
And I think I will need a yarn bowl.
I am going to try to make a trip down in the next month or so.
I saw the word 'knit' in your name and had to stop by to see what was on your needles. I love the color of your new yarn.
