Fall

I LOVE Fall. It is absolutely my most favorite time of year. I love the crisp mornings and evenings and the leaves changing and the fresh mountain air. The drive to and from Charlotte was absolutely gorgeous! The leaves have already started falling into our pond up here in North Georgia. I complain and complain about winter when it is here but the truth is that I look forward to it every year. I loved visiting Key West but I absolutely could never live there. I love the changing of the seasons and the rebirth that the Spring always brings. There is something so holistic about the whole seasonal process - I would be very unhappy to give it up.

Here's a shot of our pond starting to get leaves in it.

And, did I show you all this yet? This is our very first soup of the year made with just veggies that we canned over the summer. YUM!

We planted more beets and some collard greens and more carrots so we'll see how those do over the Fall and into the early winter.

Alright - we are making our way back from Charlotte today - what fun! We had such a great time and I will share the pictures of our adventure tomorrow. I also have some new yarn colors to show you!

Fall is absolutely my MOST favorite time of the year. I missed it terribly while I lived in California!
