Charlotte Knitting Guild

Can I just say that we had a GREAT time at the Charlotte Knitting Guild??? The meeting was so laid back and everyone was so incredibly nice. We really enjoyed ourselves. It took us about 5 hours or so to get there. We got there, checked into the hotel, went to a place called Harper's where we had an EXCELLENT veggie burger and a yummy Fat Tire on draft, and then we headed over to the guild meeting that started at about 6.

Cristi and Jet were there to help us get all arranged and set up. We had a small crowd but they were such fun it was totally worth the trip. Not to mention - we had never been to Charlotte before and we were REALLY impressed with the city! There are lots of sidewalks and the place is SO CLEAN! I don't think we saw one piece of litter the entire time we were there which was really nice. It's one of those cities that is a really good size - not too big and not too small. We loved all of the colonial type architecture and all of the crown's on all the street signs that designate Charlotte as the "Queen City".

Without further delay - here are some pictures from the meeting.

Then, Wayne, Cristi, Jet and I went out for dinner at Charlie's. I was still full from the veggie burger from earlier so I just had a Blue Moon - yum!

It took us 5 hours to get to Charlotte but it took us 10 hours to get back yesterday! I'll tell you why tomorrow...............

Sounds like fun. I'm so glad I found you again. After I left Ravelry (well, I didn't actually leave...I just forget to go there lol) I kind of lost track of you. Happened across one of your videos and went to your site and here you are! Yay!
