Do you ever wonder why........

I never seem to have any knitting to show you? Well, this would be the reason.

I have been knitting swatch after swatch after swatch so that I can try to have all the colors done before the show next month. I still have the lace and the rest of the solid color DK weights to go!!!

Needless to say, I have been doing a lot of skeining lately. And, ya know, skeining is kind of boring. You just stand there and wind and wind and wind. I haven't been brave enough to try an electric skeiner yet. I just prefer to do it manually. So, I try to do things to make the skeining at least seem like it is going a little faster. Wayne seemed to think this was pretty funny.
Reading while skeining. I don't see the problem with this, do you? Mainly I think that he thinks this picture is funny because he is a man and this is what is known in the female world as "multi-tasking"!!! :)

That's a lot of swatching! It's well worth it though. People at the show will be so glad to see the colors all worked up. And reading while skeining? Brilliant. Just take some breaks or you will end up with repetitive stress injuries!

I am just a man...I have to do one thing at a time or I get distracted and then NOTHING gets done! Haha! You, of course, are my biggest distraction!

Wow that's a lot of swatches! :D Anything to make skeining more fun should be done. What about cranking up the music and dancing? :)

I bow down to your swatchy goodness! That is awesome, if not terribly exciting. :)

Love the swatches! yea, I used to multi task at a job I had 20 some years ago. The job was so boring, easy, and repetitive, that I would bring my "Fill It Ins" book and work the puzzles while I did my job.

You need a knitting machine. One of the cheep plastic bond sweater things. You can get them on eBay for less than 50.00 and they whip through swatches in nothing flat. (It takes about two hours to do a full scarf, so a whole mess of swatches should take about a night or so.) Then you'll have more time for skeining! Have fun. :)

Um, not only are you a woman, you are a nurse and nurses are notorious for being able to multi multi multi task. I'm surprised you're not doing three other things in addition to reading and skeining.
