Finally.........

I got a new phone. My phone has been trying to crap out on me basically since I bought it about 2 years ago. That's a lot of crapping out folks. It's a Treo 650 or something like that and has had crazy battery and power issues since the beginning. Good riddance.

Since I have known I wanted to change out to something new for a while now, we have been making regular trips to the AT&T store. It seems that each visit there brought a new adventure. I'm telling you, the stock is different every freaking time we go there! So, either they were out of stock on what I wanted, they had discontinued what I had decided I wanted, they recalled what I decided I wanted (oh yeah, that happened yesterday so I had to make a new choice) or they wanted me to pay $200-300 for a phone - uh -NOT happening.

So I ended up with this little beauty.

A Blackberry Curve. With a rebate and a gift card it ended up costing me $14 WITH the car charger! Woot!!!!

I am already loving this phone better than the Treo - although it took me about 4 hours yesterday to figure out how to turn the darn thing on vibrate and change the ringtones. Seems that would be SOMEWHERE in the instruction manual or on the CD, yes? Well, it isn't. Just so you know, you have to go to the "profiles" tab to change that setting - totally makes sense, right? Whatever.
.
The store was great and got it all set up for me with email and contacts and all that stuff that takes forever to figure out. Hey, remember back in the day when it took like 3 days to get your cell phone "activated"? Funny, you would just sit around and keep checking it and checking it until finally it was on. This is the dawn of a new age - totally instant activation - you can walk out of the store and throw the old phone into the recycling bin!

Sweet price! i have had my curve (same color) for a year and a half now and love it...but paid oh, a bit more!! smile Did i say how much i lvoe it? The only gripe i have is the manual that comes with it....sucks! Unless you are going to live on line with it. I just want to be able to adjust the volume on my ringer. Loud is shrill and normal is almost a whisper...if you figure it out B let me know!
