Thanksgiving Fun

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! Mr. Man and I went to Rome, GA and lost all of our money playing cards with the family. Seems we never come home with the big prize. Not that it's much, mind you, we all play with like $3 so it ain't exactly huge winnings. We basically play with 3 bucks so we have something to complain about when we lose. But, we did consistently get beaten by a 15 and 12 year old so I'm not sure what that says about our skill level. Oh, and did I mention that was their FIRST time playing??? Sheesh.

OK pictures.

Here's the turkey and stuff. That's my aunt and cousin, my dad and my cousin (the MD - that information will be important for stories later in the week).

Here's some card playing. That's me, my cousin's two kids, my cousin, my cousin's husband, my brother, my dad's wife and my dad. The empty spot is Mr. Man (he's off taking crazy pictures of us).
I had Mr. Man take a picture of this particular hand because it was the only decent hand I was dealt all day.
Here's little Miss P taking all our money. PS - the kids weren't REALLY drinking.....we just had them pose with beer. We don't corrupt them THAT much.......I think teaching them to take our 3 bucks is going far enough, don't you?

Mr. Man's apple pie that was confiscated by my dad (DAD - don't you lose our glass pie pan!!!).

A rare photo of my brother.

Everything was great until..................................the whipped cream incident.

My aunt took the time to make some fresh whipped cream. She thought it tasted a little "off" so she had one of the kids try it. Oh, he said it was GREAT. Then my dad tried it. He kind of looked around the table and then tried it again. Hmmmm......then he asked my aunt what she had put in it. She said sugar and vanilla but that she thought it tasted kind of funny. Well, what she ACTUALLY put in it was salt instead of sugar AND sesame oil instead of vanilla!!!! I told her that the Alzheimer's was starting to set in...........so, no whipped cream for us! And what the heck is wrong with that kid that said it tasted great?!?!? I guess he has really been well trained to be polite to his grandma.
Oddly, there were no pictures of Mr. Man! He was there though, I swear!
We had such a GREAT day and I seriously have the most awesomest family in the world! Thanks to all of you for making it such a fun holiday! We love you all!!!!!!!!

I like salt and sesame oil together, but not in whipped cream. Gross.
