SNOW!!!!

We woke up Monday morning to SNOW!!!! Now, I know this isn't very exciting for all of you northerners out there - but it was pretty exciting for us! Especially since we didn't have to go anywhere (well except for a brief trip to the post office). I'm not sure I have ever had snow at my house in December. Usually if it snows around here it won't happen until around my birthday (late January). It seems like snow ruined my birthday party more than once as a kid dangit.

Since we are now living in the North GA mountains I guess we get to enjoy snow more frequently and earlier than Atlanta does. The kittens were mezmerized! Willow looked at it and promptly went back inside to lay next to the heater with Slim and Goose stayed outside for hours coming back in for snacks occasionally soaking wet. Leo (the weiner dog) does not get up until noon so he totally missed it and Petey had a blast trying to jump around and catch all the snow that was coming down. I tried to get a picture of that but everytime I stepped outside he just quit playing and ran up to me instead.

All of you up north will laugh when I tell you that this amount of snow shut down the schools here for the day!!!

Here's crazy Mr. Man in the hot tub getting snowed on.

Wow.. I can't believe it snowed already! Its been horribly cold down here - I'm sort of wishing it would snow just so that all of this freezing we've been doing would be worth something!

It's been snowing like that up here but then it's all gone by midday. I am going to tell the snow, to snow like it means it if it's going to snow. :)

I can't believe how BIG the snow flakes are! We don't get snow around here until January, and that's just a freak thing, not the norm! But it shuts down everything.

That is always nice to sit in the hot tub with the snow! We have a cover over ours now but with 6 foot sliders on each side so we can still open it up...but cold WA rain was a bummer to get drizzled on all the time. No snow here yet! The ski resorts are freaking out!

Hot tub in the snow is the ONLY way!

We had snow last month - and usually we haven't put our winter coats on in November!

No snow here in the CA foothills yet, but it will come soon. Sitting in the hot tub with snow coming down is great fun. Can be romantic too!

It snowed here to for about 30 mins around 2:30pm that same day. But since I am in Dalton,GA this means we didn't get any to lay. All you could do was watch it come down and bounce around on the porch before melting.
But none the less it was fun to open the curtains and look at it. :)

Keep on taking those great snow pictures! I love seeing them!

I am glad you got some snow. It is truly beautiful when it is covering everything and so peaceful. I live on the PA/WV line and we have had, oh I don't know, maybe about 8 inches already? That's total and not all at one time. My kids have already had a cancellation and 2 hr delay. To be honest, I am ready for a Nor-Easter to come thru here and dump about 2 feet of snow! Talk about fun!!!!! *unles of course you have to drive, then not so much!!*

well, we all know Mr. Man was as naked as the day he was born in that picture. Was he trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue while frolicking in the hot tub?

Hot tubbing in the snow would be so much fun!
We don't get much snow here by English Bay in Vancouver but sometimes we do. If we do it never sticks around for very long.

i do wonder about men....but they say that the tub gets the hole body so warm you can get into the house and stay warm long enough to get into if you hurry....my prob would be not turning into a human popcycle before i had a chance to get into the tub.!
