Witch's Brew

Take one toad

Tail of one snake

3 baby bird beaks

Six kitten toes

And a scorpion

Bring to a boil under a full moon and you will get a potion for.........

Yeah, ok - so I know nothing about witch's potions but all of the stuff that we are finding around our new home has me convinced that they must all fit into a potion somehow. That little scorpion was inside the pot that was sitting on top of our stove!! Mr. Man found him this morning. Nice.

And, I have about 1/2 a heel done on the sock. I had to frog the heel yesterday b/c I totally bummed it up so now it is actually being done correctly and working much better now. It's a short row heel and I just forgot my marbles and started doing it in a way that was simply never going to work. It took me getting halfway through it before I finally came to the conclusion of "This isn't right and it's never going to work". I know, my picture taking skills leave much to be desired.

Homemade margaritas and then out for Mexican food later this evening!! Woo hoo!!! I'm looking forward to it - it's the perfect way to end the week. Who's coming????? Cocktails start at 5!

Toads, kittens, and birds I can take. You would not see me, however, coming even CLOSE to touching a snake! EEEEEK! And scorpions?! Maybe me and my Mr. Man DON'T want to move to the mountains when the kids are up and grown.
Are you perhaps using metal dpns in the sock pic? Are they from knitpicks?

Your portrayal of the critters that roam around your home is the best! Funny, witty, interesting...I love your blog, Woman!

I see margaritas in my crystal ball for my future...tomorrow after a long day at work, lol. So much for a saturday! I can deal with them all but admit to not loving scorpians. We used to have to check the sand box every morning in hawaii at the school. My daughter sat on a baby one once and squished it..thank goodness she was still in pampers. Hooked it's claw onto the pampers but was squished! Enjoy those drinks!! sock looks great.

I don't yet knit or crochet, but I just had to write and tell you that I love your website and the beautiful pottery. I tried to learn to crochet and knit long ago without much success. I recently started creating websites, so I appreciate an attractive and useful site like KnitWitch.com. Your blog is pretty interesting too. Nice to see other rural places across the country. Margaritas sound good too!
