The heel of one sock is finished but there is much more interesting stuff than that going on.
After all that talk about snakes in the last post - look who wanted to be included on the blog! I was pulling up some weeds and this little guy wiggled out - I guess I disturbed his peace and quiet. He was generous enough to hang around while Mr. Man ran inside to get the camera for his "five seconds of fame" shot. (Pinky finger comparison courtesy of Mr. Man)

I love your blog! I hadn't read it before today when I followed a link for the contest. It is now on my favorites. The pictures are great (particularly on days when I don't want to read)!
And the land looks similar to the wonderful hills here in West Virginia.
Wow, that deck looks great. Perfect for some spinning, a glass of whatever beverage you need, and then a dip in a hot tub. What more could you want? Ok maybe Mr. Man. Giggles

my snake's bigger than your snake. Neener neener.
Beautiful deck!! We have the tarp over our hot tub right now, too. It has taken them forever to make and ship our replacement cover. Darn those raccoons!!
Grins. I just found your blog thru my friend Raymie. I don't knit but I do have two dachshunds! LOL It looks like you're as crazy about yours as we are ours. One question though...is your doxie as weird as ours are? These little dogs are such sweethearts..but they have some strange quirks. I swear that my two year old Willie has OCD.
Oh, our weiner TOTALLY has OCD!!! He is definitely a bizarre little creature. He drives us crazy - he goes out of his way to make sure everyone knows that HE is the most dominant creature around.
Ours is the same way. We have a 2 year old red smooth haired...he weighs about 20 pounds..this is Willie...Ernie is a 10 pound 1 year old mini chocolate doxie. Willie is a cry baby...he is very sensitive...scared of his shadow...Ernie is everything that Willie isn't....Willie is the good child..whereas Ernie is just Ernie.
Okay, that's it. I moving up there, to YOUR house.
Mine is too boring.
