On to the knitting

First of all, we have a shop announcement! We have a new yarn line!!!! The line is called "Boo!" and it is a wonderful 80/20 Superwash Merino/Bamboo blend. This is a very substantial fingering weight (bordering on sport) that is very soft but has the added strength of bamboo - perfect for socks! You can find the new yarn HERE on the website. Here are a couple of the colors we have put up there.

Apparition
Misty Moor

Poltergeist

There is also some new stuff on the Discount Page.

I have started a couple of little projects. Both are scarves. The first one is Branching Out from Knitty. I am doing this in an 80/10/10 Merino/Cashmere/Silk yarn that we will be carrying very soon. This is a beautifully soft yarn with nice drape.

The next scarf is just a 2x2 ribbing scarf that I dyed in Georgia Tech colors for my son (sorry Sandy and Regan - you know I wouldn't be knitting any Steelers stuff!!). I figured he could use a school spirit scarf for all those football games!

I did finally get my new DPNs from Knit Picks so I need to start on the sleeves for the February Lady sweater also!

  3. Very impressive. And I love the colors of the new yarns.

My step father in law is an Auburn fan so I will be making him a nice blue and orange scarf for Christmas.
